About the Enneagram

Julia uses the Enneagram as a tool in her coaching and consulting  interventions to gain deep insight and to enable powerful transformation in individuals and teams.

The enneagram is a powerful, multi-layered personality tool for use with both individuals and with teams to fast-track personal growth and development.

It is a tool which offers deep insight into the core motivations that drive an individual’s behaviour as well as their blind spots, triggers and defense mechanisms. With these deeper levels of self-awareness and understanding individuals are empowered to explore alternative and more effective responses and behaviour in achieving their goals. It helps individuals to identify what holds them back, as well as offering insights as to how to become more integrated. It has immediate benefits for relationships, communications, conflict management and people skills.

The enneagram describes nine different personality types. Each type has its unique strengths. While each person has a core type which motivates their behaviour and how they view the world, their core type is greatly influenced by their particular sub-type or instinct, as well as the combination and strength of the influence of the other eight types on their personality.  While individuals do have a primary default type, ‘’people are not their type’’ as there are many other variables involved.

"The Enneagram is a very powerful tool to use in team-building. It can help team members to better understand themselves and each other, identify hot buttons to avoid, provide insight into how to motivate and persuade individuals, increase intra-team trust, and show how to effectively navigate the inevitable change and conflict that will come up."
